This Game is centered around the story of The Hobbit, but it is not about Bilboīs adventures. Instead, the players (2 to 4) assume the role of young Hobbits who, having heard of Bilbo's adventures and fabolous riches, want to go and slay the Dragon of Carn Dum. Travelling through the northern half of Middle Earth (as far south as Lorien and Dol Guldur), they must try to collect enough magic gems, weapons and followers to become strong enough to defeat the terrible Dragon. On their way, the players have to master many different dangerous situations, but they can also meet new friends who might be helpful to them at some later point. They can also stop at different villages, where they can try to find some weapons or other equipment which they might buy. Although the playing-mechanism is quite simple, the game offers a nice way to experience a bit of Tolkien's world, and due to the different events and even Riddling-Contests which might take place during the game a fluid gameplay with good player-interaction is ensured.
