Due to the increasing popularity of tabletop wargames in the fantasy area I finally decided to start reviewing some of these games. Being no boardgames in the classical sense, I think that these games still belong to the greater group of boardgames, so I decided to find a place for them here at the G@mebox.

"Warhammer - The Game of Fantasy Battles": Relased in the 1970's, "Warhammer" still is the most popular tabletop game in the world.

"Battlelore - Epic Fantasy Adventures": Coming as a challenge to classic tabletop games, Battlelore is a perfect symbiosis of tabletop and gameboard.

"Armalion": Iin fall 1998 the german producer FANPRO decided to publish a tabletop game, based on a classic role playing system.

"Mage Knight": The new game by Wizkids offers readily painted miniatures and an easy-to-learn combat system.

"The Lord of the Rings Tabletop Game": 20 years after abandoning their line of Tolkien miniatures, Games Workshop now produces a Lord of the Rings tabletop game...

"Piraten - Das Gold von Davy Jones": You might have seen many games, but I am sure you will never have seen collectible Pirate-ships!!!

"Axis & Allies - Naval Miniatures": Fast-paced and action-packed, this new miniatures game will let players recreate historical Sea battles of WWII.
